How much does it cost?
Regular price for the Mudathlon® is $75. Mudathlon does not offer refunds or transfers.
How many people can be on a team?
You can have as many people on your team as you choose. The only excpetion to this is if your team wants to compete against other teams for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place. In this case, you must have at least 5 people on your team. FYI: everyone on the team completes the entire course.
How do I create a team?
Go to http://www.Mudathlon.com. Choose the "Create a Team" option for the event location of your choice. You will be directed to the team registration page where you will not be charged for creating your team. However, once you have created your team, you must register yourself as an individual. Be sure to choose "Joining a Team" and then choose your newly created team from the scroll down menu.
What do I need to bring to the Mudathlon®?
A photo ID
An extra set of clothes and a towell
A signed copy of the event Waiver
Money (for extra beer)
Bug Spray
A good Mucking Attitude
Where do I pick up my Mudathlon® Packet?
Packet are picked-up on the day of the Mudathlon®, at the Mudathlon® site.
What is in a Mudathlon® packet?
Your timing chip, bib, and t-shirt.
What do Mudathletes® wear?
Obviously, clothes to get dirty. Costumes are also encouraged as long as they don’t inhibit your ability to maneuver obstacles. Please wear shoes, this terrain is not meant for barefeet.
How early should I arrive to the Mudathlon®?
We encourage arriving an hour before your start time. You choose your start time when you register for the Mudathlon®. In addition to picking up you bib, timing chip, and t-shirt. You also have to watch some other Mudathlete's® get mucky to prepare for your own adventure.
I am not much of an athlete, can I be a Mudathlete®?
Absolutely, there are definitely challenging aspects to the course and some challenging obstacles. However, if you can't complete an obstacle, you can pass it by. Even though that will disqualify you from award eligibility, it won't disqualify you from having a Mucking Good Time™.
What if I can't complete the course?
The Mudathlon® will have lots of course monitors and medical personnel. If you find you can't continue the race, The Mudathlon® will have the means to get you back to the post-race party or to the medical tent at the finish area.
How will you time the Mudathlon®?
The Mudathlon® uses chip timing that is activated when you cross the start and finish lines. The Mudathlon® will remove the chips post-event for you.
How old must I be to be a Mudathlete®?
14 years old is our minimum. If you are under 18 your parent or guardian must sign the waiver for you and the waiver must be brought to the event.
Mudathletes® get Muddy, can I rinse after the Mudathlon®?
The Mudathlon® will have showers or a rinse area available in the post-race area.
Will there be a gear check at the Mudathlon®?
Mudathlon® will have gear check available.
