What is in a Mudathlon® packet?
Your timing chip, bib, t-shirt, and Mudathlon bandana!
How old must I be to be a Mudathlete®?
12 years old is our minimum. If you are under 18 your parent or guardian must sign the waiver for you and the waiver must be brought to the event.

However, once you have created your team, you must register yourself as a team member. Be sure to choose "Joining a Team" and then choose your newly created team from the scroll down menu.
What do I need to bring to the Mudathlon®?
A photo ID
A signed copy of the event Waiver
An extra set of clothes and a towel
Money (for extra beer)
A good Mucking Attitude
What do Mudathletes® wear?
Obviously, clothes to get dirty. Costumes are also encouraged as long as they don’t inhibit your ability to maneuver obstacles. Please wear shoes, this terrain is not meant for bare feet.
How early should I arrive to the Mudathlon®?
We encourage arriving one hour before your start time. You choose your start time when you register for the Mudathlon®. In addition to picking up you bib, timing chip, and t-shirt. You also have to watch some other Mudathlete's® get mucky to prepare for your own adventure.
I am not much of an athlete, can I be a Mudathlete®?
Absolutely, there are definitely challenging aspects to the course and some challenging obstacles. However, if you can't complete an obstacle, you can pass it by. Even though that will disqualify you from award eligibility, it won't disqualify you from having a Mucking Good Time™.
What if I can't complete the course?
The Mudathlon® will have lots of course monitors and medical personnel. If you find you can't continue the race, The Mudathlon® will have the means to get you back to the post-race party or to the medical tent at the finish area.
How will you time the Mudathlon®?
The Mudathlon® uses chip timing that is activated when you cross the start and finish lines. The Mudathlon® will remove the chips post-event for you.
Mudathletes® get Muddy, can I rinse after the Mudathlon®?
The Mudathlon® rinse stations ARE NOT showers you would find at your home or hotel. The water pressure is generally low and they are meant to rinse off most of the mud, but not get you clean enough for a night on the town. Please plan accordingly by bringing towels and a change of clothes.
Will there be a gear check at the Mudathlon®?
Yes, there is gear check at all locations of Mudathlon.
